Morning vs Evening: Building Two Different Routines

Your morning routine protects, your evening routine restores. Here is how to build two simple, different routines around a face cream and a serum.

A good routine has two moods. Morning is about protection and comfort; evening is about cleansing and giving the skin a comforting cushion overnight.

Morning: protect

  1. Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser, or simply water if your skin feels dry.
  2. Serum (optional): a light, hydrating serum adds a layer of moisture.
  3. Face cream: a small amount, massaged lightly.
  4. SPF: a broad-spectrum sunscreen as the very last step.

Evening: restore

  1. Cleanse thoroughly – especially if you wore SPF or makeup.
  2. Serum (optional): a good moment for a hydrating or antioxidant serum.
  3. Face cream: a slightly more generous layer of a rich cream, such as Elesse Cream, can feel comforting at the end of the day.

Keep it simple

You do not need ten steps. Four morning steps and three evening steps are enough for most people. If you are unsure where to start, our simple routine after 50 walks through it step by step.
